We are thrilled to announce that our Trunk or Treat event was a tremendous success, with hundreds of attendees from across the community joining us for a fun-filled evening of Halloween festivities! Held at the First Unitarian Church of Northwest Indiana, the event brought families, friends, and neighbors together to celebrate the season with creativity, costumes, and community spirit.
Our congregation and many dedicated volunteers transformed their car trunks into a variety of spooky, playful, and imaginative displays, offering candy and treats to excited trick-or-treaters. The parking lot was buzzing with energy as children, dressed in costumes ranging from superheroes to ghosts, visited each decorated trunk, filling their bags with goodies and enjoying the festive atmosphere.
In addition to trunk-or-treating, the event featured music, games, and activities for all ages, making it a perfect evening for families to gather and enjoy the Halloween spirit. The smiles and laughter from both children and adults were contagious, and it was heartwarming to see so many people come together to share in the fun.
We are deeply grateful to our volunteers who worked tirelessly to organize and run the event. From decorating trunks and managing games to providing refreshments, their hard work and enthusiasm made the night truly special. The overwhelming turnout exceeded our expectations and reminded us of the joy and connection that come from celebrating as a community.
This year’s Trunk or Treat was a shining example of what we can achieve when we come together to create safe, inclusive, and fun spaces for our families and neighbors. We’re already looking forward to next year’s event, and we hope to continue building on the success of this incredible evening.
Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, and contributed to making Trunk or Treat 2024 a spook-tacular success! We can’t wait to see you all again next year.
